Nathalie Kalae
$225/hr Curl/Texture Specialist, Owner of Kinetic, She/Her - Born and raised in a small town in the Pacific Northwest, Nathalie’s aesthetic is heavily influenced by Seattle’s grunge scene. She appreciates easy, wash and go styles that are cut to your natural growth and hair fall. Proficient in razor and scissor cuts, Nathalie considers herself a master in her craft. Thoroughly loving to work with any and all hair textures. Nathalie opened her own Salon Suite in 2022, and by 2024 launched Kinetic.
Gabby Dent
$140/hr, Dry Haircut Specialist, She/Her Gabby has been taking clients in NYC since 2019. Having wavy/curly hair her entire life she is always willing to work with your natural texture to create that perfect look to fit your every day routine. Seamless grow out and longevity of the haircut is always Gabby’s main goal. Her skills are not only limited to cutting, Gabby is also involved in editorial & commercial styling. When she is not behind the chair, she’s probably on set or on location!
Jess Rizzo
$120/hr, Shags, Curls, Straight Razor Cuts She/Her What Jess loves most about hair is that it is a collaboration between the stylist and the client. She does what she can to address each client’s specific needs. Her specialty includes razor cut shags, precision cuts and curly haircutting, and she will stop at nothing to perfect her craft. In her free time she enjoys thrifting and spending time with her cat Marni.
Madeline Tam-Love
$120/hr Lived in Color Specialist, She/Her. San Diego scene kid turned NYC color addict. Aveda-trained, specializing in lived-in blends, fire-reds & coppers, and every vivid under the rainbow (yes, I’ve rocked them all since middle school). When I’m not behind the chair, I’m with my cats, a horror or superhero flick, and my latest musical theater obsession — hair is my art, you’re the masterpiece.
Elias Lin
$100/hr, Curl Stylist, He/Him. Elias’s cutting style is very intuitive, working with your favorite facial features and uniqueness over trends or what tradition says is “right” for you. Feeling like an outsider in typical salon spaces is something Elias is familiar with as a trans person, and has led him to operating in small spaces that allow his relationships with his clients to grow and his community to feel seen.
Stevie Gillhart
$70/hr, Junior Stylist, The/Them. Stevie prides themselves on the specialized care and service they give to each client. They believe that your hair is your playground to best express whatever identity represents your truth. They are skilled in natural cuts that give you grow-out longevity, but are always open to out of the box, funky and unique styles. Whether you prefer sheers, razors, or clippers Stevie's got you covered. Stevie’s journey into the world of hair has been supported and influenced by their commitment to community. They have intentionally learned how to treat all different hair types and have deep respect for the cultural and personal ties people have to their hair. When you’re in Stevie’s chair, they want you to feel cared for, listened to, and leave feeling refreshed and affirmed. Outside the salon, Stevie is a cabaret singer/drag performer throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.
Jen Jinx
$100/hr Vibrant & Blonding Colorist / Pixies, Fades, Shags, & Curly Styles, She/Her. Jen (who goes by Jinx) started oil painting as a teen, & has always been passionate about color, art and beauty as a personal expression. She was born in the Southwest & grew up in Miami & NYC. As a first born daughter of parents who emigrated from Nicaragua & being raised within the Deaf community she feels strongly about diversity, culture and belonging. She is fluent in Spanish and American Sign Language. She graduated from Arrojo in 2021, diligently apprenticed, worked as a colorist/stylist in a variety of barbershops & salons in Manhattan & Brooklyn. 15 years of bartending in NYC (from dives to posh bars) helped build people skills and understanding of service. Jinx is a well rounded stylist who can easily find common ground with her clients. Helping you achieve your hair goals & great vibes are her focus. Inclusivity, kindness, joy & authenticity while creating a safe space in her chair are key components of a beautiful experience. During her time off she loves cooking, Gigi snuggles (her 19 year old cat), reading thrillers or watching horror movies.
Meg Baez
$50/hr, Stylist in Training, They/Them. Meet Meg, a born and raised Brooklynite who started doing hair professionally in 2022 — but their creativity with hair goes way back to childhood. Experimenting on their own hair turned into a real passion for helping others feel confident and express themselves. Meg specializes in gender-affirming haircuts that help folks feel seen and authentic to who they are. In their free time, Meg channels their creativity into making intricate chainmaille pieces, DIY projects, and other crafts — always finding new ways to bring art, expression, and imagination to life.
